If you passed any of our offices around Ireland on Easter Thursday, you may have seen a bunch of engineers running around with a balloon between their legs. This is how we roll at SL Controls.<\/p>\n
To be specific, you would have seen members of our team taking part in our Easter Spring Chicken Race. It is a fun and light-hearted event that is part of our Live Well at SL and Think Well at SL programmes for 2018.<\/p>\n
Live Well at SL helps employees live healthy lives at work. Think Well at SL focuses on good mental health. Both programmes are concerned with our employees\u2019 overall health, wellbeing, and work\/life balance.<\/p>\n
Keeping physically active and having fun with colleagues is part of this.<\/p>\n
Of course, there must be winners too. After all, this was a race and engineers are as competitive as anyone else. Congratulations to Shane McMorrow, Keith Connaughton and Paul Heffernan who mastered balloon-between-the-legs running to pick up first prize on the day in their offices.<\/p>\n
For engineers who couldn\u2019t participate in the race, we ran an Eggsclusive Easter Quiz and those who complete the quiz correctly will be entered into a draw for a delicious Easter Egg!<\/p>\n
In addition to the Easter Spring Chicken Race and Easter Quiz, we are also running a Kids Easter Art Competition for the children, nieces, nephews, siblings, etc of staff. The competition will stay open until the end of the Easter school holidays. Initiatives like this are important as SL Controls is committed to supporting employees achieve a healthy work\/life balance.<\/p>\n
