Those activities and initiatives are part of our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/slcontrols.com\/live-well-sl-sl-controls-workplace-wellbeing-programme\/\">Live Well at SL<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/slcontrols.com\/what-is-think-well-at-sl-sl-controls-positive-mental-health-programme\/\">Think Well at SL<\/a>\u00a0programmes.<\/p>\n<p>This Friday will be the seventh annual\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ibec.ie\/employer-hub\/corporate-wellness\/national-workplace-wellbeing-day\">National Workplace Wellbeing Day<\/a>. It\u2019s an IBEC initiative that aims to focus on social, physical, and mental wellbeing in Irish workplaces.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4944\" src=\"http:\/\/slcontrols.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/National-Workplace-Wellbeing-Day-At-SL-Controls.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"628\" srcset=\"https:\/\/img.slcontrols.k8s-stg1-global.sq1.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/National-Workplace-Wellbeing-Day-At-SL-Controls.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/img.slcontrols.k8s-stg1-global.sq1.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/National-Workplace-Wellbeing-Day-At-SL-Controls-300x157.jpg 300w, https:\/\/img.slcontrols.k8s-stg1-global.sq1.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/National-Workplace-Wellbeing-Day-At-SL-Controls-1024x536.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/img.slcontrols.k8s-stg1-global.sq1.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/National-Workplace-Wellbeing-Day-At-SL-Controls-768x402.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>At SL Controls, our employees can get involved in various ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Digital gym \u2013 a digital gym glass schedule for the week has been made available to employees with both live and on-demand fitness classes. Employees take part in a range of classes including Combat Fitness, Pilates, HIIT, Mindfulness and Yoga. Classes take place morning, lunchtime &amp; evening.<\/li>\n<li>Daily walks \u2013 employees are being encouraged to take morning, lunchtime, or after-work walks. Challenges are being set throughout the week for walks and other areas of wellbeing.<\/li>\n<li>Healthy eating \u2013 employees are being encouraged to eat fresh, seasonal fruit and vegetables throughout the week.<\/li>\n<li>Laya events \u2013 employees have access to Laya events taking place on Friday, including a high-intensity interval training session as well as a session titled 5 Ways to Maximise Your Health &amp; Potential.<\/li>\n<li>5 tips a day \u2013 we\u2019ll share five tips a day throughout the week on physical, mental, and social wellbeing.<\/li>\n<li>Virtual canteen \u2013 our virtual canteen will be open every day for employees to chat and have a cuppa with colleagues.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Norma Mulligan, HR Generalist at SL Controls, said: \u201cWorkplace physical and mental wellbeing are important priorities here at SL Controls. We also place significant importance on social wellbeing in the workplace, although that has been hard to achieve during the pandemic.
